The streets were long and narrow with many a nook and crany to hide. The streets also had many an alley in which many sailors met their wenches for afternoon delight. No matter what however no man looking for love went into the alleys at night. My mother had once said, "A devil's keeper wanders into the alley on an impulse and shall have enternal d**nation if and when he falls into the lap of a prostitiute." So the lonely men of kingston didnt' have to be lonely for long if they had money and knew how to hire a 'friend' for the night. When i was sixteen my father came to me and said i was to marry ship's captain, Johnathan Tate, a private destined to be a captain of the Bounty of the Royal Navy of her majesty's guard. But i wanted more. I wanted more than to become a wife of a ship's captain. I wanted true love, adventure, and more than not I wanted life and fulfillment. I saw what premade marriages does for one's heart. I saw it in my parents everyday. "over the years you'll begin to love one another and finally love eachother fully," is what my mother said on her deathbed.
